As the Asia Pacific region approaches the 2030 deadline, progress on the SDGs remains uneven, with marginalized groups, particularly Indigenous Peoples and Persons with Disabilities, often falling into “data blind spots.”
This side event highlights a joint initiative to develop a Multistakeholder Engagement Toolkit rooted in a whole-of-society approach, integrating citizen-generated data, local government insights, and the expertise of diverse social actors to ensure SDG progress reflects the lived realities of all communities.
The discussion will explore how localized indicators, stakeholder engagement, and Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs) can accelerate inclusive, rights-based, and accessible SDG implementation.
