Location:
Tzu Chi Center, New York
Session Description:
Women comprise 73% of migrant domestic workers globally, performing informal, gendered labor in private households with limited legal protection and access to justice. The mother’s absence at home also affects left-behind children, as girls often assume caregiving roles, reinforcing cycles of gender inequality. This session brings together diverse perspectives to examine women’s labor rights and empowerment, and to explore collaborative, holistic pathways to advance justice for migrant women and the girls they leave behind.
