Join us for an important discussion on women leaders in government with distinguished guest speakers, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of NY Linda Sun and NYC Councilwoman-Elect Sandra Ung. Together, they will discuss their experience as women leaders, the strength of feminine leadership, inclusion, diversity, as well as empowering more women of color (including Asian-American women) in the workplace. Moderated by Joanna Zhang.

Linda Sun is Deputy Chief of Staff to New York Governor, Kathy Hochul. Ms. Sun previously served as Deputy Superintendent for Intergovernmental Affairs & Chief Diversity Officer at the NYS Department of Financial Services. She has also served as Deputy Chief Diversity Officer and Director of Asian American Affairs for the NYS Executive Chamber, Director of External Affairs for Global NY at Empire State Development and Chief of Staff to NYS Assemblymember Grace Meng. Ms. Sun is the highest appointed Asian American in the administration and a first generation immigrant. She holds a Master’s degree from Teachers College at Columbia University and a B.A. from Barnard College at Columbia University.

Sandra Ung is an attorney, community advocate, and Councilwoman-Elect for New York City’s 20th City Council District. Ung is committed to addressing significant issues that impact women, survivors of domestic violence, youths, the environment, and beyond. She is the Executive Director of Grace’s at the Table PAC, a political action committee dedicated to expanding women and minority representation in politics, and serves on the Board of Managers of the Flushing YMCA. Ung previously held the position of staff attorney to Sanctuary for Families, a not-for-profit organization that assists people impacted by domestic violence, was the Special Assistant to the NYS Commissioner on Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, and worked as an associate attorney at Dorsey & Whitney, LLP.
