Dear Friends:
It is a pleasure to send greetings to all gathered for today’s webinar hosted by the Tzu Chi Center highlighting Women in Government Leadership.
Throughout the generations, women of all backgrounds have given so mucli to our state and nation. Today, they have greater visibility in all areas of endeavor, including various levels of public service.
We appreciate the Tzu Chi Center for highlighting the accomplishments of Asian American women through this webinar, inviting others to be part of a discussion among women leaders who are making a difference in peoples’ lives. Diverse female leaders strengthen any organization, and this online conference focuses on the importance of their vast abilities in the 21st century workplace.
I’m sure that today’s special guests will inspire many of the young women participants to consider a career in public service, and I thank Linda Sun who serves as my Deputy Chief of Staff and Sandra Ung, New York City Councilwoman-Elect, for adding their perspective to the conversation. I appreciate all of the women sharing in this meaningful exchange, as you work toward your future goals.
