Talk Description

The past years have been filled with existential crises that inevitably wreak havoc on our minds and bodies. From pandemics to natural disasters to the looming climate crisis, life certainly isn’t easy right now.

In this installment of C.A.F.E. 229, we are honored to welcome Rebecca Li, Professor of Sociology, Founding Teacher of the Chan Dharma Community, and author of Allow Joy Into Our Hearts: Chan Buddhism in Uncertain Times.

Join us as Dr. Li shows us how to incorporate Chan Buddhist values of wisdom, compassion, and joy into our lives, even when we’re faced with difficult societal challenges.
